John J. Scioletti, 81, of Walpole formerly of Hyde Park, died September 18 in his home following a long illness. He was the husband of Carmela A. (Prestandrea) Scioletti.
Born in Cambridge, January 11, 1931, the son of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (Civaterese) Scioletti, Mr. Scioletti was raised in Hyde Park and had lived in Walpole for the past 25 years.
Mr. Scioletti had been a crane operator for union local 4 for 50 years before retiring.
Mr. Scioletti served in the Army during the Korean War attaining the rank of sergeant.
John loved to travel.
In addition to his wife, he is survived his children, Lori Newhall and her husband Steven of Walpole, Daniel Scioletti, Thea Scioletti, and Cara Beston and her husband William all of California.
He is also survived by his brother Robert Scioletti of Florida and his grandchildren, Ashley, Nicholas, Zachary, Elijah and Noah.
His funeral and interment will be private.

John J. Wall, Jr., 67

John J. Wall, Jr., 67 of Norton, formerly of Walpole and Waltham, passed away in the presence of his adoring family, on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester. He was the beloved husband of Rita A. (Curtin) Wall, to whom he was wed on November 13, 1965.
Born in Boston, MA on September 9, 1944, he was a son of the late John J., Sr. and Margaret (Kelly) Wall.
He grew up in Watertown and Waltham, and was a 1962 graduate of Waltham High School. He furthered his studies and received a business degree from Burdett College. Jack also served as a member of the National Guard during the Vietnam Era.
For 35 years, Mr. Wall was the owner of Office Systems Unlimited of New England. When younger, he had worked at Dymo, serving as a regional manager.
A resident of Norton for the past 10 years, he had previously made his home in Walpole for 25 years. Jack was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton and while living in Walpole was a longtime parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church.
An avid New England sports fan, Jack’s favorite to team to cheer on was the Boston Bruins. He loved golfing with family and friends, boating and beaches, and winter months spent in Punta Gorda and North Port, Florida.
In addition to his beloved wife of over 46 years, he is survived by his devoted children; John J. Wall, III of Norton and Elizabeth A. Curry and her husband David of Stratham, NH. He was the cherished father of Joshua David Curry, the dear brother of Jean DelPonte and her husband Lou of Riverside, RI, the son in law of Rita Curtin of Waltham, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Friday, May 18th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday May 17th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

Doris M. (McKenna) McGovern, 88, of Walpole died June 5 in the Victoria Haven Nursing Facility, in Norwood. She was the wife of the late Joseph B. McGovern who died in 2005.
Born in Boston, September 30, 1923, the daughter of the late Daniel and Cecilia (Daniels) McKenna, Mrs. McGovern was raised in the Mission Hill section of Boston and had lived in Arlington for 20 years prior to moving to Walpole 41 years ago.
A homemaker, Mrs. McGovern loved to travel and was an avid Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her children, Richard J.McGovern and his wife Cora of Walpole and Mary M. Merrikin and her husband Richard of Walpole.
She was the wife of the late Joseph D. McGovern.
She is also survived by her daughter-in- law Joan McGovern of Conway, NH. , Her sister Anne Marie Carver of Boston, 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Friday June 8 from the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 892 Main St. Walpole at 8:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9:00.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery South Walpole.

Elsie (Arthur) Lowry 91, of Walpole died October 25 in Sunrise Norwood Assisted Living. Born in Norwood, October 18, 1921, the daughter of the late David and Elizabeth (Blackburn) Arthur, Mrs. Lowry had lived in Walpole for most of her life. She was a 1940 graduate of Walpole High School. Mrs. Lowry had been a secretary for the Cullinett Software Company in Westwood for 5 years before retiring. She had previously worked as a secretary at Plimpton Press, The American Can Company and at Rustcraft. Elsie had been a volunteer at Norwood Hospital for over 30 years and had also volunteered at the Walpole High School library for 6 years. She was the sister of the late Charles B. Arthur and Mary E. Robinson. She is survived by her 5 nieces and their families. Her graveside service will be held on Saturday November 3 in Maple Grove Cemetery, Walpole at 11; 00. He was born in Norwood, January 9, 1958, the son of Cafiero and Giuseppina (Vella) DeChellis of East Walpole. A lifelong resident of East Walpole he was a graduate of Walpole High School. James had been an electronics technician for the Motorola Corporation for 14 years. Mr. DeChellis had been a member of the Walpole Sportsman’s Club, the NRA, and the Harley Davidson Owners Group. He loved to ride his motorcycle, and to hunt asd fish. In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister Cynthia Vincent and her husband Bill of East Walpole and his nephew Robert Vincent of East Walpole. He was the brother of the late Mary DeChellis. Patricia L. Kelly, 72, of Walpole died November 6, in St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston. Born in Norwood, December 13, 1939, the daughter of the late Paul W. and Louise A. (Brule) Kelly, Miss Kelly was a lifelong Walpole resident. She was a 1957 graduate of Walpole High School and a 1961 graduate of Regis College with a degree in Mathematics. Miss Kelly had worked for the Raytheon Corporation as a Mathematician and also as a computer programmer. Patricia was an accomplished figure skater and enjoyed skiing. She was an avid reader and quilter. She had been a Town Meeting member, a member of the Friends of the Walpole Public Library, the Walpole Library Endowment Funds Committee and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Library. Miss Kelly held an FCC Amateur Radio license, and was active in National Weather Service SKYWARN Program and had developed the first SKYWARN Volunteer Data Base. She was a member of Walpole Emergency Management. She had volunteered at the Walpole Senior Center and developed the senior citizens data base. Patricia was also a member of the Walpole Historical Society. She is survived by her sister Barbara A. Kelly of Walpole, her life partner Roger Turner of Walpole and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday November 13 from the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main Street Walpole at 8:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9:00 Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole. Madeline A. (Paolucci) Clerici, 92, of Walpole, died, Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham. She was the beloved wife of Frederick Clerici who died in 2007. Born in Walpole on March 3, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Adrian and Marie (Columbo) Clerici. Mrs. Clerici was a resident of Walpole for most of her life and graduated from Norwood High School. Before her retirement, she worked as an LPN at Serenity Hill Nursing Home in Wrentham and had formerly worked at Foxboro State Hospital. Mrs. Clerici was a volunteer for the Girl Scouts and an active volunteer and participant in the Republican Party. She enjoyed doing crafts and ceramics and loved to cook. She is survived by her son, Mark Clerici and his wife Kimberly of Norfolk and was the mother of the late Janet Proctor. She is also survived by a brother Robert Paolucci of Dedham, a sister Dorothy Walton of Georgia, two grandchildren, Amy Proctor and Gillian Gil and two great-grandsons, Lucas and Sam. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday, November 21 from the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Born in Brighton, December 6,1914, the daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary (Byrne) Murphy, Mrs. DeGiacomo was raised in Brighton and had lived in Walpole from 1952until 2007 when she moved to Norton. Mrs. DeGiacomo had been a Hospice worker at the former Pondville Hospital. She had been active at St. Timothy’s Church where she had been a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Ladies Sodality and the Women’s Club She is survived by her children Dr. William DeGiacomo and his wife Martha of Norton and her daughter Nancy Lamphier of Sarasota, Florida. She is also survived by her granddaughter Lisa Cook and her great-grandchildren, William, Lucas, Dallas, Paige and Rebecca. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday December 12 in St. Timothy’s Church at 10:00 Burial will be private in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline. Patricia E. Dow, 99, of Walpole died December 9 in the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood. Born in Amesbury, July 7, 1913, the daughter of the late Levi and Elizabeth (Burke) Dow, Miss Dow was raised and had lived in Amesbury for most of her life. She had lived in Norwood for 10 years prior to moving to Walpole 6 months ago. Miss Dow had been a secretary at the Amesbury Chair Company for several years before retiring. She had previously worked at the Merrimack Hat Company. Patricia enjoyed knitting, reading, doing puzzles, spending time with her family during the Holidays and her cat. She was the sister of the late Virginia Daley. She is survived by her nephew Carroll Daley of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and her nieces Virginia Willis and Patricia Howes of Walpole. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 14 in Blessed Sacrament Church, Walpole at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Amesbury. Brenda Ann (Bothwell) Balduf, 72, died December 16, 2012, at Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth, New Hampshire, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Morton F. Balduf for 48 years. Born in Norwood, February 23, 1940, Mrs. Balduf had been a longtime resident of Norwood and Walpole, Massachusetts. She retired to Alexandria, New Hampshire several years ago with her husband. She was a graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1958 and was the class Valedictorian. Mrs. Balduf was also a graduate of Framingham Union Hospital School of Nursing and Boston University. After graduating she had worked as a Registered Nurse at Norwood Hospital and had been the Head Nurse in the OR and other departments. Brenda considered herself a domestic engineer who enjoyed reading, cross stitch, had a love of cats, gardening and her family. In addition to her husband she is also survived by her daughters Claudia Evelyn Darrow, Nicole Ann Balduf, her son Marcus F. Balduf and her sister Penelope West. She is also survived by her niece Carol Ann West nephew Steve West, her grandniece and extended family. Daniel J. Capone, 93, of East Walpole, died December 21 at the Doolittle Dome in Foxboro. He was the husband of Patricia (McTighe) Capone and the late Angelina (Mariani) Capone. Born in Walpole March, 10, 1919, the son of the late James and Angelina (Caponi) Capone, Mr. Capone was a lifelong resident of East Walpole. Mr. Capone had worked for the US Postal Service for over thirty-five years before retiring as a supervisor. He served in the Army-Air Corps during World War II, attaining the rank of Corporal. He served from 1942-145.His battle action consisted of Po Valley, Tunisia, Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Normandy, Southern France, Ploesti, Air Offense Europe, Air Combat Balkans, Rhineland, Northern France, and North Apennines. He earned Distinguished Service Medals, Gold Leaf Clusters and Euro African Mid East Ribbons. He was a former member of the Walpole Italian American Club. Dan loved to travel, cook, watch football, garden and landscape and spend time with his family. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Daniel J. Capone Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Wrentham, Edward Capone and his wife Shirley of Norton, Patricia Hoyceanyls and her husband Stephen and Joseph Capone of Lincoln, Maine. He is also survived by his step children, Kathleen McTighe and John Mctighe of Walpole, Beth McTighe-Nichols of Florida and Joseph McTighe of Ohio. He is also survived by his siblings Anthony Capone of East Walpole, Virginia Gambrazzio of Stoughton and Anne Parlato of Needham He was the brother of the late Louise Lorusso, Silvio Capone, Pauline Giandomenico, Pellegrino Capone ad Silvia Capone. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Danny, Angela, Meagan, Matthew, Nicole, Stephanie, Pia, Aria, and Lydia and his great-grandchildren, Nova, Guinevere, Ivy and Jacob.
